Romina Papadopulos

Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern IMH16044

Romina Papadopulos is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern IMH16044 and has her Master’s degree from the University of Central Florida in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling. She previously worked as a family law and criminal law paralegal for five years in Longwood, Florida and it was there that she gained her passion for helping people during the most difficult times in their lives. Romina was born in NY to Colombian immigrants; however, she has lived in various places allowing her unique perspective on what it is like to deal with transitional issues. Her fluency in Spanish and her ethnic background prompted her to specialize in multicultural issues as she realizes that the needs of that community are grossly underserved. Romina believes that although people may not have control over the outcomes of their decisions, they do have control over how they respond to such outcomes. She can guide clients through such obstacles by helping them see the connection between mind, body, and emotions (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) as well as understanding the origin of such problems through examining their developmental stage of life and the culture they come from.
